The Geoscience Council of Namibia proudly congratulate one of its First Council Member, Ms. Victoria Sibeya on her appointment as the Managing Director of the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (NAMCOR) for next 5 years.

Her appointment as the 1st Female Geoscientist to head the organization reflects decades of dedication to the organization and continued development to the Namibia’s upstream petroleum sector, as she previously served as the Executive: Upstream Exploration.

Ms. Sibeya formed part of the Inaugural Council Members of the Geoscience Council of Namibia, who served from August 2016 to July 2020. The Geoscience Council of Namibia is a juristic body established in accordance with the Geoscience Professions Act, 2012 (Act No. 3 of 2012), to promote and protect the public interest through governing and regulating professional and ethical standards of Registered Geoscientists in Namibia.

The Council wishes Ms. Sibeya the best in leading NAMCOR through it is next chapter of growth and national impact.
